THE CHALLENGE x

Gym apparel start-up, Strong Lift Wear, was looking to make waves in a highly competitive online market. They needed a digital partner to help them reach an ambitious goal: to become the largest Aussie grown gym apparel brand online. We knew what to do.

SLW needed a partner that understood the entire customer journey in Ecommerce, from brand recognition through to conversion, and then retention and advocacy. The bottlenecks to growth could then be determined across this journey, and improvements put into place where needed to strategically increase the overall amount of revenue and profit.

OUR SOLUTION x

Starting as a one man business on a Wix drag on drop website, Contevo helped Strong Lift Wear evolve into a multi-store eCommerce store across AU/NZ and North America. Socially, we ran digital campaigns across Facebook, Google AdWords, affiliate networks and electronic direct marketing (eDMs). We worked toward executing an all-inclusive organic and paid search campaign to increase engagement and achieve maximum growth at its most cost-effective.

We had to undertake activities across creative, marketing, acquisition, conversions optimisation and retention which included:

  • Re-platform from self-hosted website to SaaS Ecommerce platform to free up marketing resources to focus on growth activities.
  • Created multi-region shopping campaigns with dynamic remarketing and cart abandonment strategies to increase conversion value.
  • Implement onsite SEO optimisation to increase global traffic for highly relevant generic terms. Like ‘gym singlets’, ‘gym shorts’. Now ranking #1 for these.
  • Conduct conversion optimisation of product pages and the shopping cart experience – moved to single page checkout.
  • Added multiple region specific payment gateways to further increase conversion like Stripe, PayPal & Zip-Pay.
  • Set up an advanced analytics solution to identify areas that need to be focused on for continuous growth.

THE RESULTS x

  • From 2013 to 2014, revenue grew 1,818%, and conversion rate grew 121%
  • From 2014 to 2015, revenue grew 184%, and conversion rate grew 14.68%
In this time the average order value grew 10.2%
  • From 2015 to 2016, revenue grew 15.83% , and conversion rate grew 35.58%

New growth is now going to be focused on expanding new markets, and strengthening our brand presence in our home market.
